Funding and Monitoring Assistant
Job Title: Funding and Monitoring Assistant (Governance) Hybrid Role
Location: Hybrid will visit DFK Office, Keighley once a week,
Reports to: CEO/Board of Trustees.
Hours: Part-time (flexible hours, 20–25 per week)
Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 pro-rata (depending on experience)
Contract Type: 12-month fixed term (renewable subject to funding)
DBS Check Required: Yes
Purpose of Role
To support DFK’s long-term sustainability by securing funding and ensuring compliance with governance. This role involves supporting the development of grant applications, compiling reports, and maintaining accurate data for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilties
- Identify and research funding opportunities aligned with DFK’s goals and services.
- Assist in writing and submitting high-quality funding bids and grant applications.
- Monitor the delivery of funded projects and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of funding applications, income, expenditure, and reporting schedules.
- Prepare regular monitoring and evaluation reports for trustees, funders, and stakeholders.
- Support governance documentation, policy reviews, and audit preparation.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure service data is well-documented and accessible.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in identifying funding streams and supporting bid applications.
- Proficiency in MS Office and working with spreadsheets/databases.
- Understanding of governance and compliance within the charity or public sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the charity or healthcare sector.
- Understanding of dementia-related services and support networks.
