Funding and Monitoring Assistant

Key Responsibilties

• Identify and research funding opportunities aligned with DFK’s goals and services.
• Assist in writing and submitting high-quality funding bids and grant applications.
• Monitor the delivery of funded projects and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of funding applications, income, expenditure, and reporting schedules.
• Prepare regular monitoring and evaluation reports for trustees, funders, and stakeholders.
• Support governance documentation, policy reviews, and audit preparation.
• Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure service data is well-documented and accessible.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in identifying funding streams and supporting bid applications.
• Proficiency in MS Office and working with spreadsheets/databases.
• Understanding of governance and compliance within the charity or public sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the charity or healthcare sector.
• Understanding of dementia-related services and support networks.
