Dementia Friendly Keighley are seeking a new Chair of our Trustee Board

Dementia Friendly Keighley (DFK), a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, is seeking a new Chair for our well-established charity to lead us through the next phase of our development. After leading the organisation during the last two years, our current Chair needs to step down from the role by the end of March due to additional personal commitments. We have an experienced and committed Trustee Board, (who are all unpaid volunteers) and a small but highly motivated staff and volunteers’ group who all work closely and supportively with the Chair. DFK is based in a unit within the Airedale Shopping Centre and provides a range of services and support to people living with dementia, their carers, friends and families. We also undertake work to raise awareness of dementia with local businesses, communities and services to enable them to work alongside us to make Keighley a dementia friendly town.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone to make a contribution to improving the lives of Keighley residents who are experiencing the challenges that a diagnosis of dementia can throw up for the person themselves and their loved ones. We are also interested in expanding our Trustee Board membership, so if you are not yet ready for Chairing responsibilities but want to join us as Trustee, we’d also love to hear from you.

Deadline for applications 7th February 2022 : Interviews 14th February 2022
